Senior CloudOps Engineer (Azure)
Job Context:
At Cefalo, we are currently seeking several talented and highly experienced CloudOps Engineers for multiple positions, including lead roles, to join our growing R&D teams. The selected engineers will be responsible for provisioning, operating, and continuously improving our cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure to support our applications. They will apply industry-standard principles and best practices to build scalable, high-performance, and resilient solutions for some of Europe’s leading companies.
In this role, CloudOps Engineers will collaborate closely with seasoned software developers, database specialists, data analysts, and product managers to optimize—and where needed, redesign—our cloud platform to power the next generation of initiatives.
Job Requirements:
- 3 to 6 years of professional experience in building, scaling, and managing production-grade cloud infrastructure and making it highly available and scalable.
- Professional-level knowledge and expertise in provisioning and managing infrastructure on the Microsoft Azure platform
- Good knowledge of working with container orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Professional-level experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform/Pulumi.
- Strong competence in working with implementing and managing CI/CD tools (e.g. GitOps, ArgoCD, FluxCD, GitHub actions, etc.)
- Good understanding of virtual networks, security groups, application load balancers, and gateways in Azure platform
- Experience working with managed database services like Azure database services, etc.
- Good knowledge of backup, alerts, and insights in the Azure cloud platform.
- Prior experience with server metrics using Prometheus, Grafana, etc.
- Knowledge of cloud security and identity management services like Azure Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID
- Nice to have prior experience working with data-driven applications and data pipeline architecture using Python and related technologies
- Fluency in written and spoken English to collaborate with foreign stakeholders and colleagues on a daily basis.
Additional Job Requirements:
- Self-managed, independent, initiative, and proactive.
- Open to learn new technologies.
- Mindset to code and do code review for continuous improvement.
- Previous experience working in an Agile/ Scrum team is a plus.
- May need to travel to Europe.
Educational Requirements:
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Computer Science & Engineering from any reputed University or equivalent practical experience.
